Peer Review Policy

The International Journal of Cyber Security, Cloud & Engineering Research (IJCSCER) follows a rigorous and transparent peer review process to ensure the quality, originality, and academic integrity of the manuscripts published.

1. Type of Peer Review

IJCSCER adopts a double-blind peer review system, where the identities of both authors and reviewers are kept confidential throughout the review process. This ensures an unbiased and objective evaluation of all submissions.

2. Initial Editorial Screening

Upon submission, manuscripts are first evaluated by the editorial team to ensure:

  • Relevance to the journal’s scope
  • Compliance with submission guidelines
  • Basic quality, originality, and structure
  • Absence of plagiarism or unethical content

Manuscripts that do not meet these criteria may be rejected without external review.

3. Reviewer Assignment

Eligible manuscripts are assigned to two or more independent reviewers who are experts in the relevant field. Reviewers are selected based on their subject expertise, research background, and prior experience in peer review.

4. Review Criteria

Reviewers evaluate manuscripts based on the following parameters:

  • Originality and novelty of the research
  • Technical quality and methodological rigor
  • Relevance to cybersecurity, cloud computing, or engineering domains
  • Clarity of presentation and organization
  • Significance of findings and contribution to knowledge

5. Review Outcomes

Based on reviewers’ comments, the editorial decision may be:

  • Accept as is
  • Accept with minor revisions
  • Revise and resubmit (major revisions)
  • Reject

Authors are required to address all reviewer comments and submit a revised manuscript along with a response to reviewers.

6. Confidentiality and Ethics

All submitted manuscripts are treated as confidential documents. Reviewers must not disclose, share, or use any information from the manuscript for personal advantage. Any conflict of interest must be declared by reviewers, and they must recuse themselves if necessary.

7. Plagiarism and Ethical Compliance

IJCSCER follows strict ethical standards. All manuscripts are checked for plagiarism using appropriate tools. Submissions found to involve plagiarism, data fabrication, or unethical practices will be rejected.

8. Final Decision

The final decision regarding acceptance or rejection of a manuscript rests with the Editor-in-Chief or the editorial board, based on reviewer recommendations and editorial judgment.

9. Timeliness of Review

The journal strives to complete the review process in a timely manner to ensure prompt publication. However, the duration may vary depending on the complexity of the manuscript and reviewer availability.
