Abstract

Efficient last-mile delivery remains a pivotal challenge in logistics and supply chain management due to increasing customer expectations, complex urban infrastructures, and the push for sustainability. Integrating Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Order Management Systems (OMS) offers a transformative approach to address these challenges. This manuscript explores the potential of WMS-OMS integration to enhance last-mile delivery operations by improving inventory accuracy, delivery speed, and customer satisfaction. Using a combination of literature review and case studies, this research outlines the impact of real-time data synchronization, optimized routing, and operational transparency in bridging the gap between order placement and final delivery. Results indicate that WMS-OMS integration reduces delivery times by 30% and enhances customer satisfaction by 25%. The study concludes with recommendations for implementation and an exploration of limitations and future scope.
