The growing global emphasis on sustainability has driven industries to adopt innovative technologies for reducing their environmental impact. Among the various sectors contributing to carbon emissions, warehouses play a significant role due to their energyintensive operations. Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) are pivotal in streamlining logistics and operations, improving efficiency, and enabling warehouses to contribute to sustainability goals. This paper investigates how WMS can facilitate the reduction of the carbon footprint in warehouse operations through optimization of energy usage, transportation, inventory management, and waste reduction. By examining current trends, practices, and case studies, the research demonstrates the potential of WMS in achieving warehouse sustainability goals. The findings reveal that integrating advanced WMS technologies significantly reduces energy consumption, carbon emissions, and waste while enhancing overall operational efficiency.
