Abstract

Mobile applications dominate the digital landscape, facilitating diverse functionalities, but their vulnerabilities pose significant security risks. The Open Web Application Security Project (OWASP) Mobile Top 10 serves as a critical framework for identifying and mitigating these risks. This manuscript provides a comprehensive comparative analysis of mitigation strategies for the OWASP Mobile Top 10 vulnerabilities. Using an extensive review of existing literature, a structured methodology, and real-world case studies, this study evaluates the effectiveness, feasibility, and adoption barriers of these strategies. Results reveal that no single approach can address all vulnerabilities; rather, a combination of technological advancements, secure development practices, and organizational policies is necessary. This work aims to assist developers, organizations, and security practitioners in making informed decisions to strengthen mobile application security.
